Project Rebound, a CSU initiative that supports formerly incarcerated individuals in pursuing higher education, is transforming lives at Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇøÈë¿Ú — and doing so at a remarkable pace.

This spring, Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇøÈë¿Ú’s Project Rebound will celebrate its largest graduating class to date, with 20 students earning degrees across 11 academic majors, including four master’s degrees. The milestone reflects both the program’s rapid expansion and the success of its students.

Among this year’s graduates is Forrest Jones, whose journey reflects the program’s mission. After spending 27 years incarcerated, Jones returned to school at Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇøÈë¿Ú, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and is now completing his Master of Social Work. He has also been accepted into a doctoral program in education. Jones will receive his master’s degree at the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16, at 9 a.m.

Project Rebound is now active on 20 CSU campuses. At Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇøÈë¿Ú, its growth reflects increasing demand and a growing number of students completing degrees, changing the trajectory of their lives, and using their experiences to support and guide others.
