Cascade CMS is the content management system used at CSU East Bay to create and maintain our website. A content management system (CMS) makes it easy to add, edit, organize, and publish content—such as text, images, and other media, without needing advanced technical skills.
YES. All staff and faculty must to Cascade CMS. Online training tutorials provide an overview of CSU East Bay’s web content management system and walk you through the basics of creating, editing, and publishing content. The training is designed for anyone who builds, maintains, or is responsible for a university website.
Please create a , or you can ask your supervisor/MPP to create the New Access Request on your behalf as well.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- One request per staff member
- Student Assistants: Please confirm with your supervisor that you have staff affiliation prior to submitting an access request.
- Current Employees: Please select "Updating Access" when submitting your request.
- Access will only be granted after approval by the site content owner.
Please see screenshots below for important information required in the ticket. When submitting your ticket, please ensure you include all required information. One critical piece is the exact website link you need access to. Do not use links starting with
https://csueastbay.cascadecms.com/
, as this will delay your request.Tip: Before clicking the "Next" button, copy all the content from the Job Duties relevant to this request field and paste it into the Provide details of your request field in the next window. Be sure to also include the full website link(s) in the Fully Qualified URL 1 field (for example:
http://www.csueastbay.edu/about/administration/index.html
).
